Hi I’m Keitonya Dorsey but most people call me Kei. I am a member of the Class of 2027 and a multi-sport athlete, I play basketball and volleyball. In basketball, I play primarily as a center and power forward, but I am continuing to develop my skills as a small forward to become a more versatile player. This past season, I earned Second Team All-District honors, and the previous year I was recognized as Honorable Mention. In volleyball, I was named Honorable Mention and all academic team last season and First Team All-District and Hitter of the Year this year.
Academically, I take pride in being a strong student and leader. I am currently a dual credit student with a 4.0 college GPA and plan to continue challenging myself at the next level. My long-term academic goals are to graduate with a master’s degree in either real estate or sports psychology, make the Dean’s List multiple times, and grow both as a student and an athlete.
I play sports because of the belief others have in me and the motivation that belief gives me to become better every day. Basketball has become one of the most important parts of my life and something I hope to carry with me into college. Through this sport, I have built lasting friendships and learned discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. I am looking for a college program where I can build strong relationships with the coaches, build character, continue to build on my skills, and contribute positively to the team’s culture. All while helping me reach my full potential on and off the court.
