My name is Kyle Birmingham. I live in Mount Olive New Jersey and currently attend Mount Olive High School. At 6'3 and 185 pounds, I am the starting Varsity goalkeeper for my high school, and play for the U17 ECNL National team with PDA. In October of 2020 I was named NJAC Goalkeeper and voted #3 as top Junior in NJ. I finished our abbreviated high school season, with over 102 saves and 4 shutouts.

Throughout my seasons playing, I have made various game changing plays, including far stretch diving, one-on-one aggressive plays, and challenge opponents overall. I mentally prepare myself throughout games to help me make decisions in certain situations as well as make me the best player I can be physically. I am a leader on the field and a motivated and dedicated team player.

Due to COVID cancelling our 2020 season, I worked out everyday independently to stay in shape and worked with an agility trainer to focus on improving my game. Knowing  I wanted to be challenged, I decided to leave my EDP team and try out for PDA.  Upon doing so, I was the only keeper out of five that was called back to practice with the Academy team. I was offered the spot on the U17 ECNL team with the opportunity to play with the MLSNext league.  This experience proved to me that I should believe in myself, never settle  and always strive to be better. 

My goal for my college career is to play competitive soccer and continue to excel while doing what I love, thriving academically while getting the best education possible, and having fun.
