4 year varsity player, 3 year starter, primary focus is to be a dawg and play defense, guarding the best player most of the time, drawing in the defense and finding open teammates, getting all the way to the rim, i love to play fast and get after it. I’ve shown huge amounts of improvement every year and am very coachable. Looking forward to showcasing all the work i’ve put in over the offseason this year and get noticed. You will get a good one with me.

About Me
My love for the game started when i was in kindergarten, playing in the jr. pro league at my school. Ever since then, my whole life has been pretty much based around basketball. I’ve always been the smallest kid on the team, so I have learned how to use my height very well. When I was in the 3rd grade, my dad passed away, leaving me as the only son he had, along with my older sister. 2 years later, my dad’s brother passed (uncle), leaving me as the oldest Berman in the family now. Life goes on to the 7th grade where my mom and step dad split up, now leaving me with no father figure and a single mom. I had to grow up fast at a young age. I know what it feels like to go through stuff and push through it. I know what it takes to be a leader and to be loyal. I am always there for my family, friends, and teammates. I’m never a “me first” type of guy. When i got to high school my freshman year, I didn’t make varsity. Before high school I was always used to being the best player on my team but when i got there I was told I was “too small” and to “get in the weight room” so that’s what i did. I also learned how to play my role to my best ability and be the best team player. Came into sophomore season 20 Lbs heavier, 5 inches taller and way stronger and had been working on my basketball weaknesses all off-season. Played through most of the season as a 6th-10th man getting limited minutes. Going into my junior season I was hungry for more. I was in the weight room even more that summer, putting on more weight, getting tons of shots up, fixing my jump shot and perfecting my craft. Ended up starting every game junior year, being that team player and energy guy. I always guarded the best player on the floor. I can run the floor and always looking for the open guy. At 5’11” I can post and play D down low. I specialize at attacking the basket and getting all the way to the rim and finishing. If i have to knock down a shot I will. I like the turnaround jumper in the paint and a pull up mid range. I’m going into my senior year now, hungrier and more determined than ever. I’m ready to do whatever it takes to help lead my team to a state championship and meet my goal of playing college basketball.
