My name is Mia Poncho, I am a citizen of the Alabama Coushatta Tribe of Texas as well as a descendant of the Daddy Long Clan and of the Bear Clan of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. I am an Junior at Livingston High Schooo in Livingston Texas and the starting Point Guard for the Livingston Lady Lions Basketball team. I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old. I have played with Backcourt Hoops out of Magnolia Texas and currently playing with 1350Hoops out of Corrigan Texas. And I played in the Native American Basketball Invitational or NABI in Phoenix, Arizona this past summer (July 2021). When I am not playing basketball I enjoy participating in cultural activities on and off our reservation. I dance at Pow Wows and enjoy spending time with my family.
