About Me
Allow me an opportunity to introduce myself and give you some information about my personal, athletic, and academic background. In the past two years, I successfully overcame adversities; my mother has diagnosed with stage III Breast Cancer and I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder.
I am beginning to explore my college options and highly interested in attending and playing basketball at the university or college I select. I am looking for in a college, not too far away from home, competitive basketball program. I may not be the tallest player but I am one of the most competitive elite players.
I struggled to comprehend in school and acted out up until the tenth grade. My mother knew that I had potential which was not reflected according to my grade point average. She decided to have me under psychological evaluation. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 15. This was life-changing for me in a positive way, now I understood why I was experiencing difficulties. Had I been diagnosed at an earlier age my grade point average could have been much higher and I would not have struggled to keep up with my peers. Now that I am aware and taking medication prescribed to treat my disorder as well as a coping mechanism, my confidence level has increased and I am a much better person and student.
Basketball has been my saving grace. When I am on the basketball court I have no worries or limitations. I am an exceptional athlete, 2 letters, this season named to the All-Region Team 6AAAAA first team. Committed to Balling Blazers AAU Basketball team 2012-2019 (true brotherhood). Middle School I was named all-city (2015); Freshman and Sophomore year of High School-Junior Varsity Basketball Team and Junior and Senior Year of High School-Varsity Basketball Team as combo guard for varsity basketball team last 2 years. Events competed in: Best of the South Hoop Seen, Stats: PPG 21, RPG 3, APG 5, FG%45, FT%75 as well as a strong perimeter defender with strong ball-handling skills to create scoring opportunities for teammates. I am driven to improve every day; never satisfied with the last performance.
