About Me

Due to an upcoming surgery in June of 2019, I was unable to compete in the 2019 track season. All my times shown are from freshman year and have improved but are not yet official. Due to the Coronavirus we have only had two meets and the season might be canceled however, I am planning on continuing my training and competing in summer track (2020). Getting my degree is the most important to me, I want to become either a sports psychologist or a physical therapist because I love to help people whenever I can, in any way I can. I started running when I got to 7th grade, I joined cross country and that beat me to my very core. I would come home everyday crying because of how hard it was, all I wanted to do was quit. Nevertheless, that only made me dedicated, stronger, and more determined to keep going and finish what I had started and to finish it to the best of my ability. I was apart of a 400m relay team in 8th grade that broke a 2007 record with a time of 4:24. We broke our own record a week later with a time of 4:17.17. After that, I had decided track was my passion and that’s what I was going to do moving forward towards high school. My main events are 400m relay, 200m relay, and the 300m hurdles. I have competed in 400m dash, 100m hurdles, shuttle hurdle relay and the DMR/SMR. Being on track has taught me patience, determination, dedication, and the true meaning of perseverance. I learned what being a good leader means but most importantly I learned how to become a better person. My dream ever since I was younger was to run at a college-level setting whether that would be from getting a scholarship or begging the coach to become a walk-on to the team. Not being in track would mean losing a part of who I am, I am who I am today because of track and I hope to continue it in college. I believe I have what it takes to be an adequate and good addition to the team because of how hard I work and the knowledge I have gained from my track experience.
