About Me

I guess you would call me the typical all American kid. I come from a background where almost my entire family played some type of sport. My great grandfather played in the Negro League with Satchel Paige, Jackie Robinson, and several other professional players. My uncle played professional basketball and my grandfather was a successful college football player. I can go on and on about my family member's accomplishment in the sports world. However, I believe it is my time to add to my family’s dynasty of great sports players. Even though I come from a single parent home my mom made sure that I got everything I need to make me successful in whatever sport I was playing at that time. I dabbled in soccer, I played baseball and was on the All-Star team at that time. And of course played tackle football since I was 6 years old and received every kind of award and recognition growing up playing football. I realize football was and is my life, I can be quizzed on almost anything in the football world and know the answer. From how a position is performed to who was the all-time top receiver in the year whatever. My mom jokes and calls me the encyclopedia of football. When I was accepted to go to Servite HS, I was excited. This school in the state of California is part of the Trinity League. This league is the hardest league to ever play for in football and this school wanted me. When I joined the school and started working out with the team, everyone was shocked at how old I was and the knowledge and the skill I had for football. I was one of the youngest players on my team and I was out benching a lot of the lineman. I earned my respect as a skill player on and off the field. I play with passion and respect for my team. I call my teammates, my “Brothers”.  This is very big for me since I do not have any siblings and it just have been me and my mother my whole life. My team means the world to me.  I also run track, do high jump and a long jumper for Servite. My long term goal in life is to play college football. I also love to cook and anything sports related, so my decision is to go to college for Culinary Arts or Sports Analyzing. If it was up to my mom, though she would say Sports Medicine (which is a possibility). My grades are strong being that I have dyslexia, but I don’t let that stop me. I have learned how to study the way that makes me understand and because of this, I have been very successful in everything I do. I have a strong support system behind me and blessed that my mom works in the educational field to help us learn and create a strong working system to make me successful in school. I am not going to lie it is a struggle from time to time, but because my passion for wanting to play a sport and also wanting to be successful in life, I chose not to use this disability as a struggle but a blessing.  I gave you a little history on me and wanted to let you know my name is Nyle King, my mom taught me to appreciate who I am and work hard for what you want. I really want this and I will prove myself to you my future coach.
