About Me

I never played PeeWee football when i was little, not even flag football or any of that. I started playing in 8th grade as a matter of fact. I had one good play that whole year and it was a tackle for a loss to stop them from tying the game up with like 6 seconds later. Really i only did that because the kid running the ball was a childhood friend of mine when i first moved to Des Moines. So i wanted to show him i'm in that football stuff just like him. I didn't honestly see the field as a Runningback until my Sophomore year of high school. Freshman year was the year i played linebacker and corner. It was still fun don't get me wrong but Runningback is where my challenge was. I love a challenge and that was the one position that didn't click to me like every other position. The summer after freshman year i touched 160 and i worked on getting faster than ever. Same thing every year up to now i'm 185 and i run a 4.5 40m. maybe a 4.48 or 4.49 on a good day but i'd say 4.5. Playing for lincoln i've never experienced championships, playoffs or etc. We were a weak team all four years. The year before we were in the championship conversation but after my class got to highschool alot of the kids transferred and went to the private school so we didn't have the size we should've had or the talent. 12/30 kids were usually always on the field including me every year i've played. so not only was the team not great we also didn't have the numbers so colleges didn't really know about us or me. I started maturing as a football player just this recent year as i became a Captain as well. I taught myself to be a leader and i changed my work ethics completely. I always lead by example and verbally so i could better my team and myself. Coaches said our 2017 class changed the program around completely because we had a 5-4 record which was the first winning record in 5 years. I only rushed for 1 touchdown this year and last uear because we were a pass heavy team because of our lack of size and strength on the O-Line. Regardless of stats if i play on a team, Coaches will see my determination and desire, along with discipline as well. Now i'm advertising myself as much as possible im order to continue my career as a runningback and a football player. I hope a great coach finds me and makes me a great player someday!! I plan on making Prince Gailah a name compared to greats. Only thing that'll help me is hard work and dedication.
