Hi, my name is Somaya Ball-Williams. I'm 5'0 and a utility player. I can play anywhere in the outfield, I'm a catcher, and I'm a 3rd baseman. Some things I have accomplished include being a part of the National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Beta Club, Mayor's Youth Council, Science Club, and HOSA. Some goals I have for myself is to increase my speed, improve my hitting, build my confidence up, work on getting out my shell when talking to coaches and other players, and I want to on being a better person for myself and others. Some goals I have for in the future would be to make All-District, make All-State, help take my teammates to playoffs and compete for a championship, and commit to a school that best fits me. What I'm looking for in a college is a college that has a strong academic program, offers a supporting learning environment, somewhere that isn't too far from home, and somewhere that is best affordable for me. I want to play softball in college because my dad pushes me to be the best I can in everything I do. My dad is always telling me about the times when he was playing football but could never finish because of his injuries, and he makes me want to accomplish a legacy he never finished, he is my reason why I want to be the best in life and make it to the big league if that's what the future holds for me.
