Hi, my name is Justin Miller. I
am from a small rural community in the panhandle of Florida. I breathe
and sleep everything sports. My family calls me, Mr. ESPN. I love
baseball and have been playing since I was 4 years old. I have always
played rec, travel, and school ball. I take fundamentals every week and
try to constantly work on improving me, for myself and team.
7th grade I had the opportunity to be a
starter for my high school Varsity team. I play 3rd, 1st, pitcher,
along with catcher. Two summers ago, I had the opportunity to pitch a no
hitter in the Alabama State 14U Dixie Youth Championship tournament. My
team finished 2nd. The past two years, my responsibility for
Varsity was to lead my team in pitching. I am focused on improving my off
speed and picking up speed as I grow as a player.
My freshman season in Max Preps Class
1A, #2 in ERA 1.48, #3 in Strikeouts with 40, # 3 in batting average with
.404. #5 Slugging all as a freshman. This past season Max Preps
Class 1A #3 in Strikeouts with 56, #3 in batting average with .426. #1 in
Slugging .681 all as a sophomore. Last summer I played in the 15U Dixie
Boys State Championship in Eufaula, AL and my team ended up runner-up.
This summer I played with Panhandle
Prime 16U, 5-Star 16U and went to many camps and show cases. My Junior year I transferred to Cottondale High School to play better baseball. I was the best on my team but I wasn't growing as a better ball player. By transferring to Cottondale, it gave me the opportunity to push my self by playing against stronger players. This upcoming Senior year I know I will perform and be ready every game to play better baseball. My coach Skylar Davis pushes us for excellence and works just as hard as me getting me to become the player I want to be. I am looking forward to this upcoming season and finding a college that I can commit to and extend my baseball career. I look forward into becoming a physical
therapist when I get finished playing ball.
