Ever since I could remember I’ve been surrounded by soccer. All four of my older siblings played and I was encapsulated by the sport. Games, practices, tournaments, you name it and I was there through my early childhood. I remember I was so excited when I was finally old enough to play and be just like my big brothers and sister. I loved my first couple seasons, went to all stars, and had the time of my life. Then I sort of lost my interest in the sport and decided to prioritize other areas of my life over soccer. In seventh grade I remember watching the 2019 women’s world cup and finding my love for the sport again. I made myself play again in the fall and loved every minute of it. That following season I made a travel team which surprised me considering me only having one season of rec under my belt. From there my love only grew and grew. I got to high school and made the team, which allowed me to be even more involved with soccer than ever before.
