When I was 9 years old my dad had decided to put me in a soccer club. At first I wasn’t so excited about it because I wasn’t that interested in playing soccer. When I went to the first practice I had struggled a little because I never played soccer in my life. The second day of practice I actually did a lot better and the coach decided to do a little scrimmage so he could know who played what position. At that moment I realized that I had a natural talent in playing soccer. After the scrimmage coach had decided what position everyone was going to play. He decided to put me in defense and I didn’t do so bad. Years went by and my 8th grade year when i made the soccer team the coach wanted to put me more in midfield, but there were still games that I still played as defense and there would be times where I played a full game. My freshman year, I tried out for soccer and made it to the junior varsity team. During the season I was always a starter and coach always put me in midfield. At one of the practices the coach decided to ask me if I would be comfortable playing as a forward. I told him that I never played forward but if he needed me there I would be glad to do so and he did put me as a forward when we had our second home game. When the season had ended, I ended up realizing that I really wanted to play soccer in college and maybe after college if I end up having the chance because to me soccer isn’t just a sport that i play, it’s way more than that it’s my passion.
