About Me

At the age of 3 I began my football journey. The first year was hard for me to like football but the next year a coach told me something that fired my body up to have the passion i have for football now, "you can hurt people legally in football". The second year of football I was a monster in peewee football and was hyped about practice and games every single day. The next few years were great untill one game that put me out of football for 5 whole years. The game was going great and the coach wanted me, the linemen, to run the ball in the goal line. The snap goes and as I am running in, two helmets go right to my hips. I was on the ground for a long time and I couldn't move my legs. The next day I had to go to the hospital and hear words no player would want to hear, "Jeremy, you will not be able to play football anymore". I had dislocated both of my hips and had to get pins placed in both of my hips, which are still in today. The next two to three days I was just sitting there in my room alone saying to my self "why me, why dose this happen to me?" The next day around noon I got up out the bed to try to turn on the tv and watch a little youtube. I saw a motivation video that was called "Never give up" I forgot the name of the speaker but his words stuck with me. One quote that fired me up, "i can ,i will, i must". The second quote "never give up" lives within me till this day. I did everthing in my power to find away to get back to football and to start walking and running again. The middle school years and elementary years go by quickly and I get a chance to speak to my doctor. The first visit they said "no". The second and third visit "no" again. Every visit seemed to always end with "no". I refused to accept that as my fate. Football is my passion in life. Football is the reason i wake up every morning. "No" was not an option. Freshman year comes and the final doctor I go to see finally saw the drive in my eyes and says the magic word I've been waiting to hear for 5 years, " you are cleared to play football again". Unfortunately I came back during off season. The 10th grade year comes and I am placed on jv, not starting, playing Oline, and not getting in too many games. The only thing I had to do is work, just work my butt off all season. The 11th grade year comes along and again I'm placed on jv, but the great thing was, I was starting at left tackle. I had a great season. I had more pancakes than blocks and the number came out to be 15. I am a servent leader to when it comes down to helping people in the commuinty. I love helping people out and serving my community because I understand hard times arise especially being raised by a single mother. The senior year is here, and I've reached my goal, Varsity. Spring ball comes and I am the second string guard. During spring I work everyday to improve myself I even lost 37 pounds. I was at 360 my 11th grade year and now summer work outs are here and I'm grinding my butt off every day to make it to college and to make my family and coaches proud. To be in a position to change my family's life forever so they never need to struggle again is my mission and I won't accept "no".
