About Me

My name is Dorrian Anderson a Junior at Plum High school in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I started playing football at 6 years old to learn how to be disciplined.

I used to be a cut up in school, so my dad used it as a tool to keep me focused and give me something to work hard for. I loved scoring touchdowns and putting the uniform on with my friends and teammates.

I played for Lincoln and Woodland Hills for my youth football days. We won back to back championships and had 2 undefeated seasons at Woodland Hills before moving out to Plum for High School.

My Dad moved me out of Woodland Hills to save my life. A lot of my guys from Woodland Hills were being murdered and the school system just wasn't where he wanted me to be.

When I got to Plum, I had to start over learning a new system, meeting new friends and new coaching staff. My 9th grade year I played JV and dressed Varsity. I knew I wasn't going to come in and just automatically start Varsity so I worked my way up.

By 10th grade I was in the Varsity D-line rotation and my confidence started to grow. Being out there making plays is what I love to do. I finished the season with 9 sacks my sophomore year and was looking forward to starting as a Junior.

The end of my sophomore year my biological mother left Pittsburgh and moved to Phoenix and I cant lie it hurt me. I was not ready for it to happen and it impacted my grades end of 10th grade.

My Dad helped me get through it by staying on me about the importance of my GPA and the recruiting process. He took me on our own College football camp tour last summer and it refocused me tremendously. We attended Miami, Colorado, UNC, Maryland and Robert Morris camps and it got my confidence back up.

After that RMU and Uconn started recruiting me and invited me out for Unofficial visits. My junior season began and I was the 3rd down DE helping my teams defense get off the field for our offense to do their thing. I took pride in my role but it was cut short by a coaching decision and our team lost 7 games straight.

Now that the season is over I am transitioning into off season lifting and 7v7. I just recently set a PR with a 405 lb squat and 225 on the bench. My goal is to get bigger, stronger, faster in time for my senior year where I will be a starter and leave it all on the field one last time for the Plum Mustangs.
