My name is Ronaldo Charilus, and I'm from Haiti. I was raised by a single mother, and we barely had a roof over our heads. We struggled to make ends meet, and there were times when we had to walk for 3 hours just to get me to school. We could barely afford my uniform and school supplies. There were moments when we even had to rely on hand-me-downs from our neighbors. We faced a serious illness in Haiti, and my mother had to undergo surgery, but we persevered. Eventually, we were able to immigrate to the United States, where my mother did everything she could to support my education. It was there, in Orlando, Central Florida, that I fell in love with football. Watching older kids play every day made me realize that football could take me and my family far in life. While I still lack knowledge about recruitment, I have an amazing coach, Karlos Odum, whom I admire. I believe that if I listen and understand everything he says, I can make it, receive offers from schools, and showcase my skills. My ultimate dream is to make it to the NFL or XFL, and I trust that everything is in God's hands."
