My name is Carmen Gallo, I’ve played soccer for 12 years so far. I was playing on a comp team up until I got injured my freshman year in high school, and just needed to rest after playing high school season from all the wear and tear. When I am not on the field playing and have free time I am mostly outside all day, whether it be fishing, practicing soccer, playing outside, washing/detailing cars, or just hanging out. I’ve had two major injuries my first one happening while playing a scrimmage during soccer tryouts my freshman year, when I dislocated my elbow and  developed CRPS (a nerve condition) from that injury. My second major injury happened that following summer while on vacation playing football for fun with my younger brother and cousins, when I sprained my ankle pretty badly and ended up also completely rupturing my anterior talofibular ligament. I rehabbed it for a bit and got cleared to play on it so I played on it while wearing an ankle brace for two high school soccer seasons and also practicing/playing soccer for fun on the off periods, but ended up causing more damage to it. So I had to get surgery towards the end of July when my surgeon repaired my completely ruptured anterior talofibular ligament onto of a partially torn ligament and also the surgeon while in my ankle  saw my ankle would dislocate and then pop back into place quite easily from it dislocating multiple times. I w was able to feel my ankle dislocate during soccer games quite a bit throughout games and even practice, because I would hear a pop and then it would hurt to play on for a little bit then I would hear another pop and then it wouldn’t hurt as much, but because of the brace it wouldn’t allow it to fully dislocate.
