Being a leader is something I always aspire to be. Whether it was during a school project, family feuds, or UIL organizations. When I became a junior in high school I was presented with a chance of becoming my school's baseball varsity captain. I haven't ensured the role, I was given the hope and opportunity for me to work harder to achieve such said position. I worked hard, continued to uplift my teammates and never settled for being "okay". My coach taught me "when you want something you will strive to achieve it and even surpass it". That being said I didn't want to settle on just earning the role of being captain of my team. I assured myself that I will not only be captain, but I will also lead this team through victories. A victory wouldn't always mean winning a game, but it meant winning the day. It didn't matter if you lost the upcoming game, as long as you push yourself to be better and learn from mistakes that's what matters the most. When you strive to win every day, you will always work to be better than the day before, but you will never be better than tomorrow. The more I provide my team with encouragement, will, and hope, the better they will perform. I don't doubt the fact that I am a great leader, I'm not a selfish person, I always want the best for those around me. The better your team works as a unit, the more you will prosper as well. You can't win a game or finish a great project all on your own. I will be a great leader regardless of the situation I am put in, it's just who I am, I want to succeed.
