My Story
As I enter my Senior Year of High School, I feel nothing but excitement. I have been extremely successful my Junior year on the field and in the classroom. As MVP, I led my team this season with the highest stats while also being a member of the National Honor Society and maintained Maximum Honors. I cannot wait to continue working hard in the sport I love the most, softball. I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old and even after 12 years I still love it as if I just started playing. This game has taught me so much including leadership, perseverance, sportsmanship, teamwork, and patience. I have learned to play with a huge heart and so much emotion and that is what drives me to play. My love for softball is my motivation to succeed. When I play, it constantly makes me feel something whether it is happiness, excitement, the nervous jitters, or frustration. But when I am at my spot between second and third, I feel like I'm at home. Shortstop has developed me to be the young woman I am today. When I am on the field I show steadfastness in doing something despite any obstacles or challenges that come my way. Recently, I joined a club softball organization named Connecticut Mirage. In spite of the fact that I am new to the group, it is required for me to become a leader because of my position. Shortstop is considered the captain of the infield and takes charge and must always communicate among the infielders. Joining a new team has been an amazing experience even though it takes time to adjust. I must persevere as a leader does. I always have faith in my teammates whether we are on the field or not, and they have learned to trust me as their leader. At the start of my Junior season, I was elected by the Conard Softball program to be one of the captains for the varsity team. My success does not stop here. I play Basketball for my High School, I was recently voted Captain as well, and I earned my starting spot my Junior year just after recovering from Covid. I have always been a great athlete all around, but also a kindhearted person. I am confirmed, and my faith journey has endured as I strive everyday to make this world a better place by being kind to everyone, being honest to myself and others, and overall being a good person in and out. I will continue to strive for greatness as I hope to do great things at the collegiate level.
