I have played tackle football since I was 6 years old. Everyone called me a little powerhouse. My first year playing our team won the state championship. I had the best coach who showed us how important family, friends, sportsmanship to my team & my opponents and what being a team was. He first taught us fundamentals that has carried me through till this day. Coach Kelly will always have a huge impact on my life. I had a few teas through the years where the team just didn’t have good sportsmanship & didn’t play well together. It really got me down on the game, but my parents kept reminding me to focus on what I needed to work on and never give up. They always told me to stay focused and be humble. I was 1 of 2 freshman chosen to play on varsity. I was 2nd string as a freshman. My sophomore year I was first string left guard. I put in the work not only on the field, but behind the scenes as well. From a very young age I knew I wanted to play college ball. My grades come first, then it’s football.
