My Story
I am James Marshall, a Senior at Henry Wise Wood High School in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Basketball has always been a massive passion of mine. I started playing when I was eight, and my love for the sport has only strengthened. I pride myself on being a hardworking student-athlete who proudly balances sports and academics. I have excelled in both areas because of my drive, love for basketball, and desire to gain knowledge and push myself. I have always understood the importance academics plays on and off the court. I lead by example for all my teammates regarding my good grades and the effort I put into my classes. My drive to excel translates to the court and ensuring I am always prepared and ready to give 150% of myself. Having an intense knowledge base in basketball has helped me to have an excellent basketball IQ and see the potential for plays and areas of defence that need to be covered. I recognize the importance of getting a post-secondary education and its role in guaranteeing success in my future. I am willing to adapt to any position and take pride in my leadership and the part I will play on my future team. Basketball is so important to me, and I look forward to seeing what doors it opens in my future.
