My Story
I have been playing football since the age of 7, it’s what we do in my family. My dad played, mom was a cheerleader and that passed down to my brother and sister as well. We talked football, watched football and were a little passionate about it at times. I started playing and was not sure i would continue when i was 7 years old, I liked basketball which i had played for a few years prior. My coaches urged me to come back the following year and I couldn't be more thankful that these volunteers took the time to change my mind. I have been playing AYF football in town next to mine because of size issues. I could not play pop warner. I was able to play on the middle school football team in decatur alabama. This was a great opportunity for me to see how other kids, not in my area, were playing and how I sized up with them. When high school came around my family and i were debating where to play football, we chose our local high school and. I could not have made a better choice. I have been given the opportunity to compete each season and to be coached by people who not only want me to succeed on the field but push me to be better person and student off the field. I have been fortunate enough to play varsity football the first two seasons of my high school career earning varsity reps of my high school sophomore season. Covid-19 has impacted everyone and i am no different from that. I have kept my body in shape working towards our february season by lifting weights and running. Sometimes with a group or my own. I am looking forward greatly to competing again on the field and being part of the best team in the state.
