I’ve been running cross country and track since 6th grade. What started as a way to stay active and challenge myself has turned into something much bigger, something I can’t imagine my life without.
Back then, I didn’t know much about training or racing. I just liked the feeling of running and pushing myself to go a little farther or faster each time. Over the years, I’ve learned how much discipline, consistency, and mental toughness it takes to succeed in this sport. And I’ve grown to love that part of it.
Cross country taught me how to dig deep and stay strong through the tough miles, especially when the course gets hilly or the weather isn’t ideal. Track taught me how to focus on speed, pacing, and racing strategy. Together, they’ve shaped me into a well-rounded runner with experience in everything from distance races to middle-distance events.
Now, I’m looking forward to competing at the next level. I’m ready to keep improving, work with great coaches, and be part of a team that pushes each other to be better. Running has been part of my life for so long, it’s more than just a sport to me. It’s helped shape who I am, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
